Pottermore.

So, I decided to join Pottermore a few days ago. I ended up in Hufflepuff, which is the House lacking talent, we’re behind in House Points quite a bit compared to Gryffindor, Ravenclaw and Slytherin, who are WAY ahead of us.

I also would like to mention my wand, I’m happy with it.

Unicorn Core:
Unicorn hair generally produces the most consistent magic, and is least subject to fluctuations and blockages. Wands with unicorn cores are generally the most difficult to turn to the Dark Arts. They are the most faithful of all wands, and usually remain strongly attached to their first owner, irrespective of whether he or she was an accomplished witch or wizard.

Minor disadvantages of unicorn hair are that they do not make the most powerful wands (although the wand wood may compensate) and that they are prone to melancholy if seriously mishandled, meaning that the hair may ‘die’ and need replacing.

Pear Wood:
This golden-toned wood produces wands of splendid magical powers, which give of their best in the hands of the warm-hearted, the generous and the wise. Possessors of pear wands are, in my experience, usually popular and well-respected. I do not know of a single instance where a pear wand has been discovered in the possession of a Dark witch or wizard. Pear wands are among the most resilient, and I have often observed that they may still present a remarkable appearance of newness, even after many years of hard use.

I think it’s fair to say I have a decent wand.

I’ve been Dueling and Brewing Potions because I’ve finished Book 1, I’ve Brewed all 6 Potions successfully, a few hiccups along the way which might of cost the House a few points but I know how to do all of the Potions now, which is good, I’m learning slowly but surely. I’ve got right into this Pottermore thing, I thought I’d get bored of it easily like some people have but I love it, personally. I’m thinking of persuading my mum to join so I can find out what House and Wand she would have if she was a Witch! It’s so much fun, I think when I get back home I’ll be drawing myself with my pet and posting it onto Pottermore because I’m just THAT sad!

I little life update for y’all, I haven’t been up to much recently, apart from achieving girlfriend status and going to Alton Towers Theme Park. Oh oh oh, I eventually went on Thirteen, one of the “scary rides” at Alton Towers, I’m a thrill seeker so I quite enjoyed it, still expected it to be more scary. I also went on the brand new ride, Nemesis Sub-Terra, which is underground, very similiar to Thirteen (not giving away what happens) I liked it, on a scale of 1 to 10 I’d say it was a 6 on the Fear scale, expected much much more frightening things to happen which didn’t, slightly disappointed.

All in all, had a great week so far, the weekend will hopefully be just as nice!

It’s been a while!

I am so not dedicated to blogging at all! Since I’ve been gone, I haven’t really been doing much. I created a UK Support page for a band called BatAAr, which only has 10 likes, where are all the UK fans? You should like them, they’ve just got over 2,000 likes on Facebook and they’re AWESOME.

I’ve been trying to get used to this new layout for WordPress which is a load of bollocks, I hate it when websites change shit like this, I just cannot get used to it! Maybe if I blogged more, I would.

I’ve been invited to fiN‘s Single Launch Party that is on the 18th April but I really cannot get to London for then, I don’t have enough money. I’ve pre-ordered their upcoming single Twenty Three/Eve which cost me £5.50, not bad eh? That’s my good deed done for the band, seen as I can’t make the Single Launch :(

Anyway, nothing else to talk about so I’m going to leave you all to wonder when my next post shall be, toodle doo!

Spring!

So, it seems Spring is here and the clocks have gone forward, meaning longer days and warmer weather. I can’t wait for it, I have been feeling so crap over Winter and I just wanted it to end, now there will be more daylight, which in turn makes me feel happier.

I’m currently still looking for a Job/Apprenticeship which sucks, I’m so fed up of it, I’ve had phone calls for Business Admin Apprenticeships and I have said yes to going for an interview for every one of them, anything will do, as long as I’m working and learning something! I really don’t have a career path, I just want to earn money so I can do the things I really want to do, like travelling to Sweden and America, I won’t be doing that unless I can get a job which allows me to have weeks off and not just days, though.

There isn’t really much else for me to chat about lately, apart from the fact my friend has come back from Uni for 3 weeks, Easter and all. I cannot wait to see her, it’s been aaaages! I have so many plans.

Anyway, I’m going now to carry on watching the rest of Avatar, addictive film.

Oops!

It’s been a while since I posted anything, so sorry! I haven’t actually been that busy, I just got lazy. Sometimes I can talk a load of shit for a few days then not come back to blogging for a while, which is terrible of me isn’t it?

Anyway, since I haven’t been blogging, I have gone to a pre-apprenticeship course, I’ve also ordered my Guinness World Record certificate which cost £18 all together because I participated in G.I.S.H.W.H.E.S (Greatest International Scavenger Hunt the World Has Ever Seen) which is awesome. I haven’t done much else, really. I plan on going out for St. Patricks Day so I might post about my drunken night out as that will be interesting, drinking Guinness all to myself for the first time, I find it weird tasting but it’s got to be done!

I really wanted to write something good but my brain isn’t working well today. WordPress has changed a little since I last came on so I’m trying to get used to that, for fuck’s sake.

Oh, also, could you PLEASE take a little time to listen to Dead by April’s new song Mystery?
Just thought I’d mention they’re following me on Twitter because I’m a fan and they follow their fans, how adorable is that? You can listen to it on Spotify, it’s better to do that as you’d be supporting them, doesn’t take long to install it if you don’t have it, plus it’s free apart from adverts that come on every now and again (I click on another song before an advert comes on, I’m pro at avoiding them) unless you want to pay monthly to get rid of adverts. Look at me being all professional promoting a band on my blog.

So yeah, my good friend Lauren has uploaded photos from the photoshoot I did with her a week ago. It took her a while to edit them, I had to be patient, totally worth it! I’m so happy with them, she’s done a really good job, I praise her work.

Second month of the year.

Can’t believe it’s February already! Time is going by too fast lately, it’s quite scary, but on a positive note I’m hoping to start off an Apprenticeship soon, if I’m eligible to do one of course, which I’m sure I will be. I had to do a numeracy and literacy test today and it was quite odd, feeling like I was back in School after it been 2 and a half years since I was. I was the youngest there, all 19, 20 and 21, then one 18 year old me!

I don’t have much to say, apart from fiN‘s 2nd single Everybody Dies Alone/Rapture arriving two days ago and my Sock Monkey Hat from Etsy arriving this week too. I also had a photoshoot with my friend Lauren who’s an amateur photographer which was pretty enjoyable, I’ll be putting up photos from that soon, when she gets them edited and what not. fiN at The Bowery in Sheffield.

So last night was utterly awesome, I got to see fiN play at The Bowery, last time I saw them they were supporting Incubus at Nottingham, so it was quite weird seeing them in Sheffield without supporting anyone, thanking Incubus as I wouldn’t know about them if it wasn’t for them. I’ll start this off by saying they’re all lovely guys, got chatting to them before they went on the smallest stage in existence to perform. They’re really down to Earth, had a good laugh, I had a few drinks which made me even more talkative.

They went on stage at about 9:00 PM, I absolutely loved it, I was dancing and singing a long to show my support, as well as wearing my fiN t-shirt with pride. They played The Artisan, Rapture, Everybody Dies Alone, It Changes Everything, Life Is Wasted On The Living and Once In A Lifetime (Talking Heads Cover). I can’t wait to see them again, next time I’ll try to get more people to come a long, my friends definitely missed out on a great night.
